Meta, the company behind Facebook, has announced that Dana White, the CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is joining its board of directors. This means he will help make important decisions for the company.
Dana White has been friends with Donald Trump since 2001 when he held a UFC event at one of Trump’s casinos. Their friendship has grown over the years, with Trump often attending UFC fights and supporting White.

Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, also announced two other new board members: John Elkann and Charlie Sangharsh. He praised White for making UFC a popular brand worldwide.
This change comes as Meta tries to improve its relationship with the Republican Party, especially after Trump was banned from Facebook in 2021. By adding White to the board, Meta aims to strengthen its ties in politics and sports as it explores new ideas in technology and social media.
